Stephen Sadowski
1967–
Stephen Sadowski (born 1967, in British Columbia) is a Canadian comic book artist best known for his clean, dynamic pencil work on superhero titles. He gained prominence as the primary penciler for *JSA*, the 1999 revival of the Justice Society of America, working alongside writers James Robinson and David S. Goyer. His career also includes work for Dynamite Entertainment on *Red Sonja* and *Warlord of Mars*, and for DC's Vertigo imprint on *Fairest* and *Fables: The Wolf Among Us*. Sadowski’s style is marked by strong figure work and clear storytelling, making him a sought-after cover artist as well. He is openly gay, a fact that has informed his perspective but not defined his broad commercial appeal. Over a career spanning from 1999 to 2018, he contributed to 61 issues across titles like *The Further Adventures of Nick Wilson* and *Witchblade*. While he has not received major individual awards, his work on *JSA* remains a touchstone for fans of classic superhero team dynamics. Sadowski continues to be recognized for his role in revitalizing the Justice Society for a modern audience.
