Starman #56

Part one of "City Without Light" kicks off with a striking cover by Andrew Robinson — a deep crimson composition pulling three figures into an unsettling swirl of dark, curling hair. At the center stands a masked woman in green, her expression a mix of wide-eyed alarm, flanked by a grimacing figure in a half-mask and a shadowy man below brandishing a gun. Writers James Robinson and David Goyer, along with artists Stephen Sadowski and Peter Snejbjerg, bring Opal City into what promises to be one of its darker hours in this August 1999 chapter of the acclaimed Stars My Destination era.
