Darkness Falls" kicks off a three-part arc in JSA #7, and Alan Davis and Mark Farmer's cover sets the stakes immediately — Black Canary fights at the center, fists clenched and clearly alarmed, as massive shadowy black tendrils and a looming dark silhouette close in around her. Green Lantern Alan Scott and at least two other JSA members charge in from behind, with a blue-skinned figure visible at the right, the whole scene bathed in an urgent orange glow. Written by David Goyer and Geoff Johns with interior art by Stephen Sadowski and Michael Bair, this 2000 DC series delivers the Justice Society with real energy — and this issue promises the team has a serious fight on their hands.
