Peach Momoko
Peach Momoko (born in Japan) is a pseudonymous Japanese comic book artist and writer best known for her ethereal, watercolor-infused style and her work reimagining Marvel characters through Japanese folklore. She entered the American comics scene in the late 2010s, quickly gaining attention for her distinctive covers and storytelling. After signing an exclusive deal with Marvel as part of their Stormbreakers program, she launched the "Momoko-verse," a line of comics that transplants the Marvel Universe into the world of Japanese folktales. She also wrote and illustrated *Ultimate X-Men*, a fresh take on the team for Marvel's Ultimate Universe, and created *Sai: Dimensional Rivals*. Her signature work is defined by delicate linework, soft color palettes, and a dreamlike quality that blends Eastern and Western comic traditions. She has collaborated with writers like Si Spurrier on *Blade Runner 2029* and worked on titles such as *Crow: Lethe*, *Marauders*, and *Usagi Yojimbo: Wanderer’s Road*. Momoko has been recognized with both the Eisner Award and the Ringo Award for Best Cover Artist. Active from 2020 to 2026, she has been credited on 55 issues as artist, colorist, inker, and writer. Her work continues to influence a new generation of comic artists.
