Mike Huddleston
Mike Huddleston is an American comic book artist best known for his atmospheric, painterly style and his work on *Harley Quinn*, *Gen 13*, and *Decorum*. Born in the United States, he entered the comics industry in the mid-1990s and quickly became a sought-after collaborator for his ability to blend moody color work with dynamic, expressive figure drawing. Over a career spanning from 1995 to 2021, Huddleston has been credited on 79 issues, often serving as artist, colorist, and inker.
His signature work includes the surreal, darkly humorous *Butcher Baker, the Righteous Maker* and the sci-fi horror series *Mnemovore*, both of which showcase his talent for creating immersive, textured worlds. He also contributed to *Deathstroke* and *Decorum*, the latter a stylish space opera written by Jonathan Hickman. Huddleston’s style is characterized by a loose, almost watercolor-like application of color and a keen sense of atmosphere, making him a distinctive voice in modern comics.
Later in his career, he continued to work on high-profile projects, leaving a legacy as a versatile artist who could shift from superhero action to experimental storytelling. While specific awards are not widely documented, his influence is felt in the industry’s embrace of more painterly, impressionistic approaches to comic art.
