This second issue of Image's 2011 series announces itself with a striking close-up of a blue-skinned, menacing figure — dark hair framing a scowling face marked by an eerie glowing flame emblem at the center of the forehead. Mike Huddleston's cover work is viscerally compelling, those pale, intense eyes radiating an unmistakable air of supernatural threat. With Joe Casey's writing and Huddleston handling every visual element inside as well, Butcher Baker, the Righteous Maker is clearly a series with a bold, singular vision.
