Man-Bat #3
The third chapter of this five-part 2006 DC miniseries delivers one of its most arresting images: a snarling, red-eyed Man-Bat lunges forward against a blood-red moon, claws outstretched, while a caped Batman stands below in a tense face-off. Mike Huddleston's cover work captures the raw menace of the creature beautifully, the scale and fury of Man-Bat dwarfing the Dark Knight in an unsettling way. With Bruce Jones steering the story through "The Return Part Three," this is the miniseries hitting its stride right at the midpoint.
