Mnemovore #2

Vertigo's 2005 psychological horror series Mnemovore delivers an unsettling second issue, with Mike Huddleston's cover presenting a pale, dark-haired figure whose eyes are obscured and a trickle of blood runs from nose to lip — an image of quiet, creeping dread. Centered against her body is a small card bearing a hand-drawn squid, rendered in eerie green against swirling amber and red tones below. Hans Rodionoff and Ray Fawkes's mature-readers series clearly has a grip on atmosphere from the very first glance.
