“Winter”

In "Winter," the fourth issue of Season of the Witch, Queen Jessica's reign over Asamando begins to crumble under the weight of her inexperience and poor decisions. As her grip on power weakens, old alliances fracture and new threats emerge—culminating in a violent revolt, a devastating war with the orcs, and her eventual removal from the throne. Written by Jai Nitz and illustrated by Nicola Scott, with colors by Jason Embury and letters by Jason Hanley, this pivotal chapter sees Jessica’s fall from grace and her return to Earth, leaving her fate uncertain. The cover, by Mike Huddleston, captures the haunting stillness of her final moments in Asamando.
