The second chapter of Bruce Jones and Mike Huddleston's five-issue series arrives with a cover that's genuinely unsettling — a pale, blonde woman in a yellow dress recoils in terror, her hair whipping across her face as the looming silhouettes of Man-Bat's snarling maw and a grinning skull loom over her from the shadows. Huddleston's painterly cover work gives the whole image a queasy, fever-dream quality that leans firmly into horror territory. If the first issue drew you in, this one makes clear the series has no intention of letting up.
