Mnemovore #6
Vertigo's Mnemovore reaches its sixth issue with a cover that puts the horror front and center — a massive, multi-eyed creature with rows of jagged teeth looms over a lone figure who faces it down with nothing but an axe, blood already spattering the ground at their feet. Mike Huddleston's painted-style cover work renders the beast with genuinely unsettling detail, its writhing, tentacled mass filling nearly the entire frame while the small human figure below underscores just how outmatched they appear. If this 2005 Vertigo series from Hans Rodionoff and Ray Fawkes has been on your radar, this issue's cover alone makes a compelling case for picking it up.
