Len Strazewski was an American comic book writer born on February 16, 1955, who spent roughly a decade contributing to the superhero genre before his death on April 27, 2026. He broke into comics in the late 1980s and maintained an active presence through the mid-1990s, accumulating credits on 155 issues across a career that ran from 1987 to 1996.

Strazewski worked across two distinct publishing spheres during his career. At DC Comics he wrote Justice Society of America and Starman, bringing an evident affection for Golden Age characters to his scripts. He also tackled The Web, one of DC's short-lived attempts to revive the old Archie Comics heroes. His work for Malibu Comics proved equally notable, where he wrote the flagship Ultraverse titles Prime and Prototype — two of the company's more prominent superhero launches of the early 1990s — as well as The Fly. That range, from established legacy heroes to brand-new creations built from the ground up, reflects the breadth of his interests as a writer.

Though his output was concentrated within a relatively compact window, Strazewski's contributions to the early Ultraverse line gave him a meaningful place in the history of 1990s independent superhero publishing, a period of genuine experimentation in the American comics industry.
