Issue #14 of Impact Comics' The Fly serves up one of 1992's more inventive cover compositions, with Mike Parobeck's pencils and Paul Fricke's inks delivering a villain in a billiard-ball-patterned costume looming large in the upper corner while the yellow-and-teal-suited Fly scrambles to avoid a massive bowling ball barreling straight toward him down a polished lane. The tagline "Strikes Out!" says it all — our hero is very much on the wrong end of this particular frame. Inside, Len Strazewski's story "Games Evil Plays" promises the same playful menace the cover so confidently telegraphs.
