“...Or Give Me Death!”

In "……Or Give Me Death!", the Justice Society of America faces a chilling test of ideals as Dr. Mid-Nite uncovers the dark secret behind St. Germain’s seemingly perfect utopia. With Johnny and Kiku racing to uncover the fate of the lost Bahdnesians, the team confronts the enigmatic leader—now holding Wildcat hostage and poised to destroy the island with a nuclear device. Written by Len Strazewski and brought to life by Mike Parobeck’s evocative art, with inks by Mike Machlan, colors by Glenn Whitmore, and letters by Bob Pinaha, this 1993 issue delivers high-stakes tension and moral complexity. The cover, also by Parobeck and Machlan, captures the moment of crisis with stark intensity.
