Starman #30

Dave Hoover's cover for this January 1991 installment sets a striking emotional tone — Starman kneels in anguish amid roaring flames, cradling an unconscious figure while the ghostly visages of a man and a weeping woman loom large behind him. The story arc title, "The Seduction of Starman," promises something more psychologically charged than a straightforward slugfest, and this first chapter, "Paved with Good Intentions!," suggests the road ahead may be a complicated one. With Len Strazewski scripting and Hoover handling both pencils and inks, this is a fine entry point into one of DC's more personal superhero titles of the early '90s.
