Justice Society of America #8
In "Whispering Death!", the Justice Society of America faces a tense new threat as Johnny Chambers, still grappling with his own limits, unlocks Hourman’s power without the miraclo—only to find himself drawn into a volatile confrontation. With Rick Tyler recovering nearby and Wes Dodds still weakened, Johnny teams up with Jesse and a newly empowered Hourman to disrupt a mob marked by Kulak’s symbol, all while a lone infiltrator slips through to target Bishop Tumutuu. Written by Len Strazewski and illustrated by Mike Parobeck, with inks by Mike Machlan and colors by Glenn Whitmore, this 1993 issue captures the JSA at a pivotal moment—where trust, power, and duty collide. The cover by Mike Parobeck and Jeff Albrecht sets the tone with a haunting, shadowed image of the Bishop under threat.
