Starman #37

Cover artist Dave Hoover fills this August 1991 issue with a tense, crowded scene: Starman looms large in his black-and-red star-emblazoned costume, arms outstretched, while a massive robotic figure dominates the foreground. Two fierce women — one with a wild orange mohawk and a purple scaled top, the other in green and yellow — square off at the bottom, set against a swirling toxic-green background that crackles with menace. "Sophisticated Ladies!" promises that Starman's world is about to get a lot more complicated, and this Len Strazewski–written issue looks like it delivers.
