“Danger on Wheels!”

The second issue of Impact Comics' 1991 revival of The Fly wastes no time raising the stakes, as the cover — penciled by Mike Parobeck and inked by Paul Fricke — puts the hero in immediate peril: a massive silver-fisted figure identified as Chromium looms over the Fly, driving a brutal punch while the tagline shouts "Chromium Strikes — and He's Out for Blood!" In the background, banks of monitor screens and a smaller costumed figure add a sense of sprawling, high-tech menace to the confrontation. With Len Strazewski scripting and Mike Parobeck's clean, dynamic linework carrying the interior, "Danger on Wheels!" looks like a thrilling early chapter for this reimagined hero.
