Rolando “Lan” Medina was born on December 22, 1961, in the Philippines, and has built a career as a versatile comic book artist whose polished, expressive style has graced both mainstream superhero titles and acclaimed independent series. He is best known for his long run on *Fables*, the celebrated Vertigo series, where his clean linework and ability to render both fantastical creatures and human emotion helped define the look of Bill Willingham’s fairy-tale world. Medina also made his mark on *Aria*, *District X*, *Gold Goblin*, and the gritty *Punisher: MAX* imprint, demonstrating a range from urban crime to high fantasy.

His signature style balances dynamic action with clear storytelling, often using expressive faces and detailed backgrounds.
