Punisher Max #8
This volume collects the final story arc of Garth Ennis' acclaimed Punisher Max run, featuring Frank Castle's violent confrontation with the Russian mob and a mysterious sniper known as the Widowmaker. The trade paperback includes issues #50-54 of the mature-readers series, bringing Castle's war on crime to a bloody conclusion in the Marvel MAX imprint's signature gritty, realistic style.
In "Widowmaker Part 1," the Punisher finds himself at the mercy of a deadly web spun by the mob's wives, with his life hanging in the balance as violence erupts in a brutal, unexpected turn. Written by Garth Ennis and brought to life with gritty precision by Lan Medina, Bill Reinhold, Raúl Treviño, and the lettering team at Virtual Calligraphy, this issue delivers a tense, visceral escalation—where loyalty is questioned and the past refuses to stay buried. The cover by Tim Bradstreet captures the moment’s raw intensity, a stark image of chaos and consequence.
