Adrian Alphona
2000–
Adrian Alphona is a Filipino-Canadian comic book artist best known for co-creating Marvel's *Runaways* alongside writer Brian K. Vaughan. Born in 2000, Alphona entered the industry in the early 2000s and quickly made his mark with a clean, expressive style that balanced youthful energy with emotional nuance. After *Runaways*, he was slated to pencil the second volume of *Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane*, but instead left comics entirely, only providing covers for that series while interior art went to Craig Rousseau. He returned in June 2009 with the *Captain Britain and MI: 13* annual, later drawing *Uncanny X-Force* alongside Ron Garney. In August 2013, Alphona reunited with a fresh creative partnership, illustrating the debut of *Ms. Marvel* with writer G. Willow Wilson, a series that became a critical and commercial touchstone. Over his career, he has been credited as artist or inker on 63 issues, with his most notable work spanning *Runaways*, *Ms. Marvel*, and *Uncanny X-Force*. Alphona’s legacy rests on his ability to ground superheroics in relatable, character-driven storytelling, and his collaborations have helped define a generation of Marvel’s younger heroes.
