Runaways #18
The whole premise of Runaways is captured perfectly in Jo Chen's cover for issue #18 — a missing-persons flyer stamped "FOUND" features the young team huddled together, their dinosaur companion looming behind them, looking less like fugitives and more like kids who've been through something real. Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona's 2004 series was already hitting its stride, and the wry visual joke of that rubber stamp says everything about where these teenagers stand with the adult world. A satisfying chapter in one of Marvel's most genuinely heartfelt team books.
