Runaways #13
The cover of Runaways #13 sets a striking, urgent tone for "The Good Die Young" as a figure in dark clothing tumbles through crackling bolts of yellow-green lightning, clutching a blazing orb of energy in their outstretched hands. Jo Chen's painted cover work gives the scene a cinematic weight — the disorienting, head-down freefall suggests someone caught between tremendous power and very real danger. With Brian K. Vaughan writing and Adrian Alphona on interior art, this 2004 Marvel series was already earning its devoted following, and the promise of a five-part arc beginning here makes this an exciting chapter to have on your shelf.
