Uncanny X-Force #5

Psylocke dominates the foreground of this striking Marvel NOW! cover, her black-clad form and signature ribbon-like sashes sweeping dramatically through a fiery red-orange vortex, while Storm, a white-costumed figure, and two others streak through the chaos below her. Adrian Alphona and Dexter Soy contribute to the interior alongside writer Sam Humphries, and the cover's bold, swirling composition by the credited team captures the team in full free-fall tension. Issue #5 of this 2013 series makes a strong visual case that this incarnation of X-Force is anything but predictable.
