Part three of "East Coast / West Coast" arrives with a cover by James Jean that perfectly captures the series' unsettling mix of teenage vulnerability and prehistoric menace. A slight, sunglasses-wearing figure crouches tensely in the foreground while an enormous, red-eyed dinosaur with jaws thrown wide looms at her back — and beneath them both, the unmistakable red-and-black webbing of a very familiar spider-suit hints at the crossover tensions building in this arc. Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona's 2006 run continues to deliver the kind of offbeat, emotionally grounded superhero storytelling that made this team so beloved.
