Danette Reilly
Danette Reilly is the sister of the original Firebrand, Rod Reilly, and became the second hero to carry that name. A volcanologist, she gained pyrokinetic powers through volcanic activity, allowing her to project and control fire and use it for self-propelled flight. She joined the wartime All-Star Squadron.
Danette Reilly arrived in the Bronze Age pages of Justice League of America #193 in 1981, brought to life by the legendary creative team of Roy Thomas, Rich Buckler, and Jeremiah Ordway β a debut that immediately signaled she belonged in distinguished company. Her home turf quickly became All-Star Squadron, DC's rich celebration of Golden Age heroism, where she shares adventures with the likes of Green Lantern, Hawkman, Johnny Quick, and Libby Lawrence. With four key-issue appearances to her name and a publishing presence stretching all the way to 2021 β including a role in the monumental Crisis on Infinite Earths β Danette Reilly is the kind of character whose staying power rewards the curious collector willing to dig in.
