“Let Old Acquaintances Be Forgot...”

In "Let Old Acquaintances Be Forgot...", the Justice League of America confronts the lingering threat of Per Degaton and the Crime Syndicate across timelines, restoring balance between Earth-2 and Earth-Prime in a story written by Gerry Conway and Roy Thomas, with dynamic artwork by Don Heck and coloring by Carl Gafford. The cover, a striking collaboration by George Pérez, captures the moment’s intensity, while the tale unfolds with the precision of a well-timed reset—where heroes act, history rewrites itself, and even the most powerful memories fade like echoes.

The heroes defeat Per Degaton on Earth-2 in 1942 (reverting him to lowly lab assistant to Prof. Zee in 1947, remembering the events he caused as only another dream), as well as the Crime Syndicate (returning them to their limbo prison in the Earth-3 universe), returning things to normal on both Earth-2 in 1982 and Earth-Prime circa 1962 (with all forgetting this adventure ever happened).
