About the series
In the late 1980s, DC Comics launched Young All-Stars (1987–1989), a 31-issue series primarily written by Roy and Dann Thomas. The book introduced a new generation of wartime heroes—including Arn Munro, Flying Fox, and Fury—as they fought alongside and eventually succeeded their Golden Age predecessors. With art by Ron Harris, Brian Murray, and Howard Simpson, the series expanded the All-Star Squadron mythos, offering a fresh take on DC’s World War II-era legacy.
