“The Bomb-Blast Heard 'Round the World!”

Crisis on Earth-Prime! Book Three" brings together three generations of DC heroes — the Justice League, the Justice Society, and the All-Star Squadron — for what promises to be an Earth-shaking showdown. George Pérez's cover is a feast of characters, framing Robotman, Superman, and a cluster of heroes including Firestorm, Zatanna, and Aquaman surging toward a massive, grinning cosmic face erupting in fire and smoke, while portrait headshots of Hawkman, Liberty Belle, Steel, Firebrand, Johnny Quick, Power Girl, Dr. Fate, the Huntress, Starman, and Green Lantern line the borders. With a roster this sprawling and a threat this vivid, Justice League of America #208 is a 1982 crossover event that earns its place on any fan's shelf.

In Eternia, Zodac attempts to warn Prince Adam about a death he has foreseen. Skeletor searches the Dark Sea for the missing half of the Power Sword. On Earth, Superman follows three energy spheres underwater, where he is pulled into a vortex. Superman arrives in Eternia, and is faced with Skeletor, Beast-Man and Mer-Man. Superman gets one half of the Power Sword away from Skeletor, but Skeletor attacks with the remaining half. He-Man arrives and picks up the fallen half, hurling it at Skeletor. The power of the sword disintegrates Skeletor. He-Man dies but is revived by the sword's energies.
