☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis collection brings together the final story arc of the 2007-2011 JSA series, following the team as they face the aftermath of their battle with the villainous Gog. With the Justice Society fractured and its members scattered, a new threat emerges from the shadows of Monument Point, forcing heroes like Mr. Terrific, Stargirl, and Wildcat to reunite and confront a conspiracy that could destroy everything they've built. The volume collects issues #39-44 of the series, written by Marc Guggenheim with art by various artists including Jerry Ordway and Jesús Merino.
In "Episode One: Cornerstone," the Justice Society of America faces a mystery that stretches beyond time itself as Jay Garrick prepares to take office as Mayor of Monument Point. When Dr. Fate returns wounded and without his usual power, the JSA is thrown into turmoil—especially when Per Degaton appears at their headquarters, claiming to know their future sins and wielding unsettling new abilities. With Jesse Quick holding him captive, the villain's cryptic warning lingers: the fate of the world may rest on her shoulders. Written by Marc Guggenheim and illustrated by Tom Derenick, with colors by Mike Atiyeh and letters by Rob Leigh, the cover by Felipe Massafera captures the tension of a society on the brink.

On the day Jay Garrick is to be installed as Mayor of Monument Point, Dr. Fate returns, injured and without Lightning. Later, during the inauguration ceremony itself, Per Degaton appears in JSA headquarters sporting new abilities and a new look, with a grudge against the JSA not for what they have already done, but for what they will do in the future. Jesse Quick snatches the villain and places him in a secure holding cell, but not before he remarks on the irony that it is she who will be responsible for what will happen to the world.
