“Time and Time Again!”
★ 1st appearance — The Anti-Monitor

Part two of DC's ambitious 12-part maxi-series hits with a cover by George Pérez that perfectly captures the scale of the threat — a massive dark rift tears across reality as Superman, a winged figure, and a sprawling cast of heroes from wildly different eras are hurled into chaos on both sides of the void. The tagline "From Anthro to the Legion of Super-Heroes — and Beyond!" signals just how sweeping Marv Wolfman and Pérez's vision is, spanning the full breadth of DC's universe across time itself. With Dick Giordano inking Pérez's intricate linework, this May 1985 installment makes a compelling visual case that no corner of the DC cosmos is safe.

Time and space is going crazy as the heroes aboard the Monitor's satellite are dispatched to save the Monitor's tuning forks on Earth-1 as the Crisis begins to hit. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to anyone, a shadowy figure has dispatched his demons to stop these actions, with one of them having taken over a copy of Harbinger (as seen in issue 1) before she reintegrated herself into one person. To be continued...
