About the series
From 1984 to 1986, DC Comics gave us Blue Devil, a 31-issue series that blended superheroics with Hollywood showmanship. The book followed special-effects stuntman Daniel Cassidy, who found himself literally bound to a demonic costume, and was most often written by the team of Dan Mishkin and Gary Cohn, with art by Alan Kupperberg, Paris Cullins, and Ernie Colón. It introduced the Kid Devil and featured early DC Universe crossovers with John Stewart, grounding its supernatural premise in a playful, character-driven adventure that stands as a cult favorite of the mid-80s.
