Blue Devil #14

DC's Blue Devil series keeps the energy high with issue #14 (July 1985), whose cover by Paris Cullins and Gary Martin bursts with confetti and streamers as an exuberant, red-suited Kid Devil strikes a flashy pose beside a bemused Blue Devil — the cover itself billing the pint-sized newcomer as "The Sensational Character Find of 1985!" The duo's contrasting attitudes — Kid Devil's ear-to-ear grin versus Blue Devil's skeptical side-eye — promise plenty of comic friction to go with the action. With Gary Cohn and Dan Mishkin on writing duties and Alan Kupperberg providing interior art, this one looks like a lively, good-humored ride.
