High above a city skyline, Blue Devil and a flamboyantly costumed blonde antagonist clash mid-air while a woman dangles perilously below — all of it perfectly captured in Paris Cullins and Gary Martin's kinetic cover for this January 1985 issue. The banner teases "Grand Larceny in Mid-Air — Without a Net!" and the image more than delivers on that promise, with cables and skyscrapers spinning dizzily beneath the brawling figures. It's a terrifically energetic snapshot of the series' mix of superhero action and showbiz spectacle, with writers Gary Cohn and Dan Mishkin's "Trick Trap" waiting inside.
