The French have massed their forces between the English and the sea at Agincourt, confident that they would wipe out the British forces camped nearby. So confident was De Gascony of France that he refused to wait for the Army reinforcements of the Duke of Brittany and De Loingy in spite of being told the British had many tricks up their sleeves. Likewise the British commander felt it the time to attack was now. The battle began and De Gascony was felled by an arrow, then finished off by a lance in his head.
