“Luck!”

In "Luck!", Harvey Kurtzman and John Severin deliver a taut, wartime tale of American Rangers preparing to scale the treacherous cliffs of Pointe Du Hoe in a daring 1952 EC Comics installment. With precise art by Severin and bold inks, the story captures the tension of an operation where even the best-laid plans hinge on the unpredictable—where courage and quick thinking prove as vital as strategy. The cover, a striking collaboration by Kurtzman, sets the stage with its stark, dramatic framing.

American Rangers are on their way to Pointe Du Hoe by landing craft, expecting the Germans not to believe that the Americans would scale the sheer cliffs of Pointe Du Hoe. G-2 didn't expect all that would go wrong with the operation, but, fortunately, the sergeant in command realized that one always has to allow for the unforeseeable, and the operation succeeded.
