“Robert E. Lee!”

In "Robert E. Lee!", Harvey Kurtzman's sharp wit meets Jack Davis’s bold art in a darkly comedic take on a pivotal moment in Civil War history. As Rebel troops march toward Chancellorsville, a bumbling soldier named Goober-Head becomes obsessed with looting dead Union soldiers—until his reckless actions set off a chain of chaos. The story’s biting satire and vivid storytelling are brought to life by Davis’s dynamic pencils and inks, with Marie Severin’s colors and Ben Oda’s lettering adding to the period authenticity. Rebel troops are advancing by order on the city of Chancellorsville, but, one of their number, a real duffuss named Goober-Head, insists on robbing the dead Union soldiers of their clothing. In the end, this excited soldier starts firing at his own men, by mistake, and ends up killing General Stonewall Jackson.
