Love and Rockets #13
In "Boys Will Be Boys," Gilbert Hernandez crafts a quiet yet haunting exploration of perception and desire, as photographer Howard Miller wanders the streets of Palomar, capturing fleeting moments of everyday life. When Tonantzin, a local woman with dreams of Hollywood, draws him into her world, Miller’s journey takes a surreal turn after a visit to the town’s forgotten ruins leaves him disoriented and changed. The issue, drawn, written, and lettered by Gilbert Hernandez with a striking cover by Jaime Hernandez, lingers in the space between reality and memory.
