"Chelo's Burden" is a quietly powerful story from Gilbert Hernandez’s Love and Rockets Library #2, showcasing his signature blend of intimacy and mystery. In this poignant tale, photographer Howard Miller’s journey through the streets of Palomar takes an unexpected turn when he crosses paths with Tonantzin, sparking a fleeting connection that blurs the line between reality and vision. With every page drawn and lettered by Hernandez himself, the story unfolds with the quiet intensity of a dream half-remembered, leaving readers with lingering questions and a deep sense of place.
