Fernando Carcupino
1922–2003
Fernando Carcupino (23 July 1922 – 22 March 2003) was an Italian painter, illustrator, and comics artist. Though best known for his sensual female nudes, his artistic range also encompassed landscapes, still lifes, historical scenes, and tender portraits of mothers with children. He began his career in comics working for the magazine *Asso di Picche*. Over a long career, he contributed as an artist, colorist, and inker to dozens of comic issues, with his most credited titles including *Sexy Favole Doppie*, *Vampirissimo*, *Fiabe Proibite*, and *Lo Scheletro*. His style—elegant, atmospheric, and often erotic—made him a distinctive voice in Italian fumetti. While his later years saw him focus more on painting and illustration, his comic work remains a significant part of his legacy.
