Seven years earlier, Dobie Leonards had taken Lena in as her guardian after her parents were killed in a car crash and she was now his secretary. Mr. Leonards had worked his way up from a delivery boy to Lagton's leading industrialist and his son resents the way everyone compares him to his dad. Lena loves Dyson, but when his father dies suddenly Dyson assumes control of the business and has little time for her.
