Dan Jolley
Dan Jolley is an American novelist and comic book writer, born in 1965 in the United States. He is best known for co-creating Jason Rusch, the second Firestorm, alongside artist Chris Cross for DC Comics. Jolley’s comic work spans series such as *Firestorm*, *Voltron: Defender of the Universe*, *Bloodhound*, and *Obergeist: Ragnarok Highway*, as well as contributions to *G.I. Joe: Frontline* and the *Lazarus Five* miniseries. He also wrote *Twisted Journeys*, a series of interactive graphic novels from Graphic Universe that blend gamebook mechanics with sequential art. In prose, Jolley authored the young-adult science fiction espionage series *Alex Unlimited* and the international bestseller *The Gray Widow’s Walk*, the first book in his Gray Widow trilogy published through Seventh Star Press. His career in comics spans from 1993 to 2013, during which he worked as both a writer and letterer on over eighty issues. Jolley’s style often combines genre storytelling with character-driven plots, and his collaborations with artists like Chris Cross helped shape modern takes on established properties. He continues to write novels, maintaining a presence in both prose and comics.
