Doctor Strange #4
In "The Flight of Bones Part Four," Doctor Strange faces a Dormammu weakened by his own physical form, using lightning to shatter the demon's connection to the Underchild as the creature deteriorates. With New York healing from the mage virus and a crucial locket near Topaz’s heart holding the key to her recovery, Stephen guides Dr. Wilmott through a delicate procedure. Written by Tony Harris, Ray Snyder, and Dan Jolley, with art by Paul Chadwick and inks by Jimmy Palmiotti, this issue blends supernatural tension with emotional stakes, all rendered in vivid colors by Chris Sotomayor and sharp lettering by John Roshell and Comicraft. The cover, by J. G. Jones, captures the moment’s eerie intensity.

Since Dormammu used the minor demon Underchild to enter a portal to Earth, he is flesh and blood and more vulnerable to Strange's attacks. He uses a lightning blast to shock Dormammu back into the three parts of the Underchild, which continues to degrade. Strange lets loose an antidote to the mage virus and New York's people return to normal, further weakening Dormammu. Having found out from White that a locket placed near Topaz's heart must be removed before she can safely be rid of the mage plague, Stephen helps Dr. Wilmott gain new confidence to successfully remove it.
