Bloodhound #1
DC's 2004 crime series kicks off with a cover by Dave Johnson that sets a sharp, procedural tone — a hulking, long-haired man wearing a spiked collar dangles a pair of handcuffs while police tape and an FBI logo frame the scene. Flanking him are a wide-eyed woman and a younger figure clutching a stuffed bear, alongside a chalk-outline body silhouette, a prison building, and the suggestion of a weapon-wielding third party. With Dan Jolley writing and Leonard Kirk on interior art, Bloodhound #1 looks like a gritty street-level thriller that earns its "Police Line Do Not Cross" banner right from the start.
