Bloodhound #10
Dave Johnson's moody, high-contrast cover for this 2005 DC series finale says it all: a broad-shouldered, white-haired figure strides through a scene of fallen bodies — bloodied figures sprawled across the ground, scattered weapons, and a masked gunman at the edge of the frame — all rendered in a striking blue-and-magenta palette. The bold tagline "Down for the Count!" and the police-tape banner framing the title give issue #10 an unmistakably grim, crime-noir atmosphere that feels like a hard-earned last round. With Dan Jolley writing and Leonard Kirk on interior art, "Ashes to Ashes" promises a fittingly intense close to Bloodhound's run.
