G.I. Joe: Frontline #6
This 2003 Image Comics installment of G.I. Joe: Front Line takes the series into tense, frigid territory with "Icebound Chapter Two: Early Thaw." Tony Harris's cover art — both pencils and inks — delivers a visceral scene of a masked, heavily armed Cobra operative looming over a blond civilian figure caught in a desperate, mid-fall struggle, weapons blazing with bright muzzle flare against an eerie teal background, while a massive shadowy hand reaches up from below. Dan Jolley and Drew Johnson are on storytelling duties, with Tom Feister and Ray Snyder rounding out the interior art team for what promises to be a gripping chapter in this front-line conflict.
