Boo Cook
Boo Cook (born 1972) is a British comic artist best known for his long-running work in the pages of *2000 AD* and the *Judge Dredd Megazine*. Born in the United Kingdom, Cook entered the comics industry in the late 2000s, quickly establishing himself as a versatile artist capable of handling both gritty science fiction and more whimsical, character-driven stories. His signature style balances clean, expressive linework with a keen sense of dynamic composition, often bringing a lively, slightly cartoonish energy to even the bleakest dystopian settings. Over a career spanning from 2007 to 2020, he contributed to over two dozen issues, collaborating regularly with writers on titles such as *Judge Dredd Megazine*, *2000 AD*, and *Doctor Who: The Eleventh Doctor*. Cook also lent his talents to American superhero comics, including *X-Factor: Secret Invasion* and *X-Factor: The Quick and the Dead*, as well as the creator-owned series *Elephantmen*. While not a household name, his consistent, high-quality output made him a reliable and respected figure in British comics, particularly among fans of anthology titles. His later career saw him continue to work on genre projects, leaving a modest but solid legacy as a dependable artist who helped define the visual identity of *2000 AD* in the 2010s.
