Elephantmen #20

Issue twenty of Image's Elephantmen kicks off the "Dangerous Liaisons" arc (part five of eight) with a striking cover pairing: a blue-haired young woman in a crop top and silver jeans stands confidently in front of an enormous, trench coat-clad hippo hybrid who looms over her with a stern, watchful expression. The sheer scale contrast between the two figures gives the image an oddly compelling tension — protective, yet unsettling. Cover art credited to Ladrönn makes this June 2009 installment a visually arresting chapter in one of Image's most distinctive sci-fi series.
