2000 AD #1999
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeJudge Dredd stands in the foreground waving off a crowd of elderly citizens with a deadpan "Move along, citizens. Nothing to see here…" — an utterly perfect bit of Mega-City One absurdism — while an enormous pink rhinoceros-like creature looms behind him and a tiny jester figure capers across its head. Boo Cook's cover for this 2016 prog is gleefully chaotic, packing protesting pensioners, balloons, and candy into a scene that somehow keeps a straight face. With "Well Gel" among the strips inside and contributions from T. C. Eglington, Paul Marshall, Chris Blythe, and Annie Parkhouse, Prog 1999 is a fine slice of what makes 2000 AD such enduring fun.
