Who is Triton?

A member of Attilan's Inhuman Royal Family, Triton underwent Terrigenesis — exposure to the mutagenic Terrigen Mists — which transformed him into a green-scaled, water-breathing aquatic warrior, rendering him unable to survive long outside water without technological assistance.

Few characters can claim they were born into Marvel royalty quite like Triton, who made his debut in Fantastic Four #45 in 1965 — introduced to the world by the legendary duo of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby at the very height of the Silver Age. A proud member of both the Inhumans and the Fantastic Four, he has spent six decades sharing the page with some of Marvel's most iconic figures, including the mighty Black Bolt and the fierce Medusa. With 230 catalog appearances, a presence stretching from 1965 all the way to 2025, and 12 collector-recognized key issues to his name, Triton is far more than a supporting player — he's a cornerstone of the Inhuman world as Marvel built it from the ground up. Whether you're diving into classic Fantastic Four runs or the dedicated Inhumans series, this enduring Silver Age figure rewards every reader who seeks him out.
